Hi -
My MIL recently moved near us so she could help with school pick ups. I had two car seats ready for her, a Graco Affix HBB for my 6 year old and and Evenflo Securekid for my 3.5 year old, but when I tried to install them today realized that neither seat can fit flush with her back seats because her backseat headrests are not adjustable or removable and they tilt inward. She has an older Chevrolet Impala ('97) I think.
What seats will work in this car? I hesitate to use a no-back booster for the first grader because he is just barely 40 lbs. and I can't see any forward facing harness seat working for the younger one due to the headrests angle. I could probably still do a rear-facing seat for her but in-laws may not like that it interferes with the front passenger seat (which needs I be pushed back pretty far for FIL).
Any recommendations? Our cars all have removable headrests so I have never had this problem!
