I am looking to buy 2 new seats. my daughter is 2 and is FF she has a currently has a cosco Scenera that i absoultely hate, but it was a gift for her 1st birthday. she is only 23 lbs but tall

LO is 3 months and is 13lbs, his bucket seat is heavy and akward and is a pain to unhook from the base.

I was looking at the Safety 1st alpha omega elite convertable seat (3 in 1), since it would last both of them for a while, or possibly the guide 65 but i think that my 2 year old would be too tall for it within the next year.

I drive a 97 pathfinder, that has room but not a lot of it. Im 5'7" and their dad is 6'3", I drive most of the time so we have our daughter behind him since he needs more room.

I really dont want to spend more than 130-140 on each seat as long as it is going to be able to grow with my kids.

Sorry, I don't have any:/ But you may want to search the threads here because I think the Alpha got bad reviews. Could be totally wrong:/

Hi! I also have a 23lb 2yo

The newest Alpha Omega with a 65lb ff limit has decent specs as a convertible, but must NEVER be used as a booster. It doesn't position the seatbelt properly, so take that into account. Can't comment on the Guide 65, sorry.

What did you hate about the Scenera? The Guide 65 & Alpha Omega are made by the same company so you might hate those too.

Would you be open to rear-facing your daughter? Have you researched the benefits of rear-facing longer? 2 is still awfully young for forward-facing, and she would fit rear-facing in pretty much any convertible out there. The good news is that she doesn't need to be reclined 45 degrees, so she could fit rear-facing behind your husband.

If you could give more info about your likes & dislikes, and if you ever need to fit 3 people/seats in a row, that would help. The Graco My Ride, Evenflo Triumph 65, and possibly the True Fit are highly recommended seats that are in your price range. I'm in Canada, so I'm not familiar with a lot of US prices. Hopefully someone else will give a better list.

If you're set on forward-facing your daughter, you could get a combination seat (forward-facing harness which later becomes a booster). In your price range there's the Graco Nautilus, Evenflo Maestro, Evenflo Securekid 300.

I hate the seat, not the brand Ive looked at the guide and alpha in the stores and im much more impressed by how they are made. they honestly seem like they would be a lot safer if we were ever to be in an accident. I dont like the scenera because it seems like there is nothing to it. She complains that its not comfortable and her butt hurts when we go on long car rides, and i can see how, it has no padding at all its almost like sitting on the plastic its self. The cup holder is useless, it tilts so no cups stay in it (not a big concern but it still annoys me)

and going back to RFing is out of the question. She was turned at age one because of extreme screaming and crying, I mean to the point she would throw up everywhere from being so upset. People in cars next to me could hear her with my windows up and music on. It was so distracting, and honestly I almost got into a few wrecks because i was trying to caml her down. It was impossible to go anywhere with her. I believe she got car sick. Since she has been FFing shes fine.

The only time there are 3 people/seats in the back is when I have my friends 7 year old who is a booster only so its not a big problem space wise.

thank you for the suggestions. I will do some research.
