Carseat for Daycare Field Trips

I'm looking for best solution for a carseat for my 26 pound 3 year old for the daycare van. They do 2-3 field trips during the school year and then 5-8 during the summer. So its not TOO frequent but my husband drops off and I pick up so pulling a carseat out is kind of a pain. The option would be to use my carseat (I could drop off in the morning and re install when I pick up) - but its a radian so heavy / beast.

They have said they will use a top teether with the install and she'll ff (she rf in my car but ff in daddy's so I'm ok with that)

Dad has a meastro - but isn't profiecient in install / removal.

Would you buy a 3rd seat? If so - ideas on what?

I guess I have access to a britax roundabout which she probably still fits in at my parents I could use...

If budget allowed I'd get a britax click tight convertible so it's easy for them to use right

Does the van have lower anchors? If yes, an IMMI Go would be easy to transport and install. If not, a Britax Clicktight would be long-lasting and easy to install, although heavy.

Maybe ask them what seats they have installed before? As long as they are good at installing, a SureRide might be a good bet -- inexpensive, long-lasting, and super lightweight. Bulky though....

Do the seats have to conform to a specific width? How many do they need to fit side-by-side?

They are trained and it sounds like well trained - so I'm nto too worrie d- they havent' given us any "rules" about size and I've seen all sorts of seats so I'm ok with it - I think for the immediate need I"ll use the britax (I have to get it back from my parents anyway to replace the out grown Coccoro for the baby) - and then look / think through 2nd seat for my parents and daycare :)

Thanks all...

I'd try the Roundabout. Lockoffs, lightweight, and already paid for.

This too. I somehow missed that you have a roundabout in the original post, but I love my roundabout and it's hard to argue with "already paid for"!

A SureRide may be a solution for you too. From what I have heard easy to install and move around. If she is FF for the field trip, you wouldn't need to worry about the space and you would have the nice high harness slots.

When my son was little, I showed His teacher how to install the seat, and had her sign a letter only allowing her to install his car seat in the van. I made copies for the teacher and director.
