Car accident

I was in an accident today with my son in a rear facing peg convertible. The car has bad front end damage so is likely a write off. I'm bracing for a fight with SGI- I've dealt with them before and their refusal to replace despite extensive documentation and backup.

I'm starting to look into a new seat- we will make the final decision once we know what vehicle we will be getting or if my focus will be repaired.

We have a marathon, Boulevard and this now crashed peg seat. They were all purchased last year. I love car seat so would love to see what new options are out. He's petite so weight and height ranges don't really matter (17 months, 22lbs, 81cm tall). Id like to plan for a seat that is compact front to back as the peg fit beautiful in my focus (as does the marsthon).

What are people's thoughts on the click tight seats? I've read the pros and cons list on here but was curious what others thought. Are there any other seats I might consider? The fnoof is too high for my liking.

First, read the Peg manual, pages 59-61 http://pegperegocanada.com/uploads/resources/P.V.SIP5.65_CONVERTIBLE_FICA1301I141_CA.pdf Peg goes by the minor crash criteria set by the NHTSA but also has 3 ways to identify if the seat is unsafe to use. So, if the crash meets the minor crash criteria of the NHTSA AND none of the 3 crash identifiers have been triggered on the seat, Peg says it's safe to re-use the seat.

If it doesn't meet even one of the NHTSA criteria OR if any of the 3 identifying factors have been triggered, do NOT re-use it.

Also, I've sent you a PM.
