Canadian Winters and RFing

I think that she's more concerned about snow and slush; the seat gets really wet which then gives you a cranky kiddo with cold and wet pants. yuck!

Unless children climb on the seat I've never found this to be an issue. And Swedish winters aren't exactly like Florida weather;-)

I understand what you are trying to say, but Swedish winters aren't exactly Prairie winters. We get an average of 110cm (3ish feet) of snow and it's -40C.

While we haven't done a winter with a walker yet, we plan to either carry her to the car or take off her boots. DH will be doing daycare pickups and will absolutely die if any snow/slush/sand/crap gets on his backseat.

I leave blankets in the van. One for each child (so 3), and I would sit cordelia up on the side of her car seat, and pull her boots off and then slide her into the seat and buckle her up and then cover her with her blanket and tuck one end of the blanket under her feet. She seemed nice and toasty warm. She didn't have anything thicker than a hoodie on the rest of her body either
