Britax seats and locking clips?

I can't remember if I can use a locking clip with a Britax Blvd or Frontier? I searched, but didn't find anything.

I know the Blvd has lockoffs, but I want to install it ffing in the middle of the back bench in my '96 Dodge Caravan. There is only a lap belt in that position and the belt loosens after a few days. Any suggestions?

You cannot use a locking clip on a lap-only belt.

What you can do is flip the male end of the buckle a half twist - that should hold it secure.

you can use a locking clip with the frontier, as long as it's a lap/shoulder belt.

you never use a locking clip with a lap only belt. they are pre-crash positioners and can only be used with lap/shoulder belts with sliding latchplates. They can pop off in a crash and are only to be used until the locking retractor of the shoulder belt kicks in.

one thing you can try is buckling the lapbelt backward. by flipping the male end 180 degrees, you align the belt portions in a way that the latchplate can function properly and stay tight.
