Honestly, I think the original version plus the free SecureGuard clip would be as good or better than the revised version. The only drawback of the SG clip is the extra step for the child which only takes a few seconds. Granted, you could always buy the revised version and pay for the option sg clip as well.

I agree with this. I have two early Frontier90s. My kids are still in harness mode, but I contacted Britax and less than a week later two SG clips were sitting at my front door. It may be one small extra step, worth it for safety.
