Britax Boulevard vs Safety 1st COmplete Air

So the Baby Time Show is coming up this weekend and I'm hoping to get a deal on convertible seats.

DD is 9 mths, 15 lbs & 25" tall, seated shoulder height is 10.5" and seated height is 15.5". She's always been around the 3rd %-tile.

I drive a 2010 Nissan Cube and there will usually be 3 or 4 in the car (including DD) therefore front passenger seat has to be available (i.e. can't be moved all the way up to accommodate the car seat).

I'm debating between 2 seats - Britax Boulevard 65 and Safety 1st Complete Air (reg or LX). Both come with SIP wings and have a rf limit of 40 lbs, but Blvd has a ff limit of 65 lbs whereas CA only goes up to 50 lbs. CA is $100 cheaper but Britax seems to have a better reputation (??). Does Britax Blvd worth the extra $100??

I have a DD who is 9mos as well....however much larger than your peanut!!!

I've never played with a CA but from its reputation on here it seems to be a good seat. What seems to be the consensus is if you do get one, make sure to buy the LX model as it has more recline positions and will make your rf install MUCH easier.

The BV is a great seat too. I have an old generation one, and a new generation Marathon and like them both. The new generation Britax seats have a nice buttery smooth pull harness, and all Britax seats have non twist straps which I love. The downside to the BV65 is that the shell is much shorter than the CA...but with your DD being so petite that might not be too big of an issue for her.

If budget isn't an issue, and you like the BV more...I'd say go for it, but they both seem to be pretty good options. I'm sure a tech or 2 will reply shortly and give you some 'official' advice! :)

Happy shopping....

You could get the CA 65, which FF to 65 pounds.

The shell of the CA is going to be quite a big higher than the Boulevard, which will allow you to use it longer both RF and FF.

Were in Canada...and I believe the CA only goes to 50lbs here....but I'm not entirely sure! Pretty sure we don't have the 65 yet thought. Anyone???

And OP, I've never been in a Cube...but if you are concerned about front to back space I'd definitely try installing them in your vehicle prior to buying...the shorter shell on the Britax might be a better bet, as the tall shell on the CA could take up quite a bit of space in your vehicle. Perhaps swing by a BRU on your way to the show so you can try them both out first?
