Britax Boulevard in Honda Civic, Mazda 3 and Chevy Malibu

My 23-mo-old approx 30lb son will be riding at various times in each of these 3 vehicles. I am considering a Britax Boulevard for them. Any word on how good the forward and rear facing fit is in each of these cars?

Additionally, in the Honda and Mazda, the seat will have to be removed after each use. (They are "zip cars" that we rent as needed for brief periods.) So ease of installation (both rear and forward) is also important, if anyone can comment on that.

Any alternative convertible seats I should consider? We have been very happy with the Britax Advocate rear-facing in our Chevy Impala (our primary vehicle), but I have heard the smaller profile of the Boulevard fits better in smaller cars.

The Boulevard is the same exact seat as your Advocate, just with no plastic airbags on the side. So if you like the Advocate, you'll like the Boulevard.

The Civic doesn't allow for center LATCH. Not sure if you've been doing it that way or not. The Mazda does, and I believe the Malibu also has center LATCH.

Britaxes fit great in my Mazda 3. Easy in and out.

I fit a Britax Marathon in my 08 Malibu with LATCH and seat belt (testing installation methods- I didn't install with both at the same time) and it went in very easily and left lots of room for the driver and passenger. I could have easily fit a bigger seat in the same position.

I have a Civic and used to use a Boulevard. It installs very easily in the Civic.
