Question Bought Peg Perego Viaggio advice trouble in small car :-(

After lots of research and going to buy buy baby we bought a perego viaggio for our 14 month old to fit in our '97 honda accord. The trouble is now that we have it installed rear facing and level to the ground we have lost substantially more room in the front seat. I am 5'9'' and DH is 6'2'' so this isn't ideal. Is there a seat with good SIP that is likely to have a shorter dimension correctly installed RF? So far baby 2 is on the shorter side but his brother is crazy tall so we also have that in the back of our mind. I wondered about the Coccoro?

Does the manual specify that the Peg must be installed that reclined? Sometimes seats allow for a range, and you can put it more upright? I have a Peg Cnvertible installed at the most upright that is allowed and find it takes up very little front to back room. Definitely smaller than other seats we have and probably comparable to a Britax seat but with more legroom. Could you install it in the center seating position with the seatbelt?

Thank you for all your advice! I am soooo pleased that I checked and my husband is outside changing the angle now . We love the car seat and are happy to be able to make it work. Can't go in the middle position as my 5 year old is in a nautilus behind the driver.
