boosters....

Hi!
It's been forever since I have been on here... close to a year actually.

One thing that has always bothered me is boosters and that fact that they are not latched to the car.
I worry that they are just not safe, even for a child that is old/big enough.
Right now I have my two oldest girls in boosters, they are 10 and 8 and I am constantly uncomfortable about it. Like how safe they are.

The other day I almost ran a red light and had to slam on my breaks, my 8 year old who was in a recaro vivo lite (but she is normally in a TB) said the seat flew forward so much that she hit her face on something. I am not sure how much she was exaggerating (drama) but it still concerned me. The seat belts are supposed to lock when you slam on the breaks, right? As far as I know they do.
It just bothers me. i wish for one thing that our car was latch equipped... and for another, I wish that boosters were required to be latched in!

Is there any new info on this, like I said I have not been on here in almost a year and just from reading through posts I can see I have missed a lot.
(like Rear facing to 45 lbs now? Wow!)

Yep... we are having our 6th, and probably last child.

I have thought about you a lot... how are you? I will always remember when you had your Matthew before I did and I wanted that name sooo bad. I am so glad DH gave in.

Do you plan on having any more babies?

I am good, thanks! Recovering from a broken foot/ankle that happened in August but getting there. I wish so bad that we would have had one more, but we are done here. I don't think I would have got that girl I needed anyways, lol. Congrats to you and I hope all goes well with this last pregnancy.
