Booster seats

So currently my almost 8 year old rides in a graco high back booster. She's about 45 lbs and maybe 48 in tall. I like her where she is but she is starting to feel embarrassed by her seat as most of her friends either ride in no back boosters or no booster at all. What are the guidelines on the no back boosters? As a personal choice I'm going to leave her in her seat for as long as possible, especially considering she just moved from a harness back in November. I honestly feel like because of her size she should still be using the HBB but at her age is there really much of a difference? Does this make sense? I moved her sister to a NBB at 8years old but she was also 65lbs and 54 in tall ;)
