Booster questions

Having never boostered a child yet, I'm wondering #1 is it okay to pull the seat belt until it locks so it stays snug? #2 Does it matter if the graco turbo (highback) booster has a headrest behind it or not? I'm sure I'll have more questions later, just bought a TB for $35 as an impulse buy to have for carpooling or some other once in awhile situations. DS is 5 1/2 and still in a 5-pt and switching to something like this seems far less safe to me...it'll definitely be awhile before I come around to full time boostering! I want to do a little booster training to make sure he sits properly, etc. in case he needs to be picked up from school by a friend or something.

To my knowledge, the Turbo doesn't require support from the vehicle headrest or vehicle seatback in highback mode. It definitely does in backless mode of course. :) I believe Graco allows locking the belt with the Turbo, but double check your Turbo's manual to be certain, and you'll also need to check your vehicle's manual because locking the seatbelt for a boostered child has to be allowable by both the vehicle manufacturer and the booster manufacturer and some of both do not allow it. Toyota for one, and at least 1 Recaro booster model to my knowledge, do not allow locking the seatbelt.
