booster lap fit

Hi, I finally ordered and received an Oobr after too much thinking. Now I am not sure if fits her correctly.The shoulder portions fits perfectly but the lap portion is what concerns me. The belt, lays not flat on her leggs but on the top just wher it meets the pelvis or the hipbone, and at the center but it touches not precisely the tummy but comes to the area between the hip bones. I whish I could post pics but right now we are out of town and unable to upload any pics.
Really not sure if this is an acceptable fit, and not sure wheter to return the seat or not..
If you have pictures of how the belt is supposed to fit would be greatly appreciated or pictures of what is not acceptable.

You want it to lay low across the hips and pelvis area, close to the thighs/top of the legs. It really shouldn't hit her soft tummy; you want it to lay across the hips. If you can feel her hip bones underneath the seatbelt, you should be ok.

Too bad you can snap a picture and add it... a picture is worth a thousand words.
