BLVD base won't snap into FF position

I practiced putting them in FF position once a couple months ago and had trouble but eventually got it by tapping on it. I cannot get it to snap in this time. I pull the handle back and move it into FF position and the handle just will not slip back in so it falls back to RF position. Anyone encountered this before and have any ideas how to get it to work?

Update, I called Britax and they are sending me 2 new seats. They put a hold on my credit card and when I ship them these 2 they will take the hold off. So I guess Ian stays RF a bit longer, hopefully he won't hit 33 before the new seats come.

I find it odd that both of my seats have this problem but I have not read of anyone else having this problem. Maybe it was just a small batch of them that this happened with.

actually, several others here have reported similar "sticking" recline mechanisms on their britaxes, especially after being installed tightly RFing.

My roundabout did that years ago and was the same situation. DS was rearfacing and when I flipped him forward facing I couldn't get it to say in the ff position. Britax fixed the seat, but I had to mail it to them and buy and new seat in the process. I am glad you had better CS then I did years ago. I was told it was because I put the seat in too tight RFing. I didn't realize that was possible?!?! Good luck!

Yup, it's a problem others have encountered and posted about, with a similar response from Britax customer service.
