B-Safe vs. KeyFit

Keeping in mind that I am in Canada - which would you choose, and why?

They are both fine seats. Although I am not in Canada (wish I were at the lake), I prefer the Keyfit.

The lock offs on the Keyfit are easy to use, whereas the B-Safe can be a nail breaker. The B-Safe has a no rethread harness which is nice. We are seeing more B-Safes these days, probably due to the Britax name.

Bottom line is try them if you can and see which one you like best. They are both pretty easy to use. If you are expecting a bigger or longer baby (tall parents), then I might go for the B-Safe.

Hi! I had a b-safe and really liked it. If you want a Britax stroller, the click n go adapters are amazing!

Chicco just released the Keyfit 30 here, but its a bit more expensive.

You can search the forum, there a lot of threads about the b-safe/key fit.

*The harness of the b-safe has to be re-thread, bit its not a deal breaker.

I chose the B-Safe over the Keyfit for a couple reasons. I found them equally easy to install (LATCH and seatbelt, I like the B-Safe's lock off). I didn't like the fabric on any of the Keyfits I looked at, the fabric on the B-Safe is smooth and easy to clean but the Keyfits all seemed really rough. I HATED the canopy on the Keyfit, it seemed totally useless to me, the one on the B-Safe is huge and easy to use. Finally, it was the height limits that knocked the Keyfit out of the running, I wanted those two additional inches that the B-Safe offered.

I have never seen the B-Safe, but I really like my Keyfit. I got the one with a boot, which worked really well in winter. Even a -30 to -40 Canadian winter. I tucked blankets under it and put a double thick fleece blanket overtop of the whole seat.
