Apramo Booster Expiry

Looks like the 9 year expiry date that 'we' were told here: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=234182 is not correct. Looking to be 6 years only.

Wonder if they are two different seats?

Pretty sure I have only seen the apramo at my local CT.

There was recently a lengthy thread about this and someone had checked w/ the company. They were told it was *ten* years. The wording was strange, something like about ten years, but I called (myself) before writing ten DOE on the boosters I bought for our PAC.

It was me that wrote to the company for clarification (Nov 2012) on their expiry date on the Apramo LBB. This was my post about it at the time:

Anyhow, I wrote a very curt email to the company about their lack of c/s. I received a very nice email back from the VP at Apramo. He says the booster is good for TEN years

"Sorry for late reply. This Alley, vice president of Apramo Child Care Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

Thanks for choosing Apramo booster for your children, all of Apramo boosters are produced under CMVSS 213.2 regulation. Regarding the expire date, we recommend people not to use it 10 years after the manufacturing date.

BTW, 1-866 phone number belongs to Canadian Tire Corportation. I will contact Canadian Tire Corporation to give your the answer about phone number issue.

In fact, he did contact CT and they responded as well. This is what they confirmed:

"Your email inquiry was forwarded to our office by the vendor. Canadian Tire's Corporate Customer Relations is the correct department to correspond with.

The Apramo low back/no back boosters can hold its service life about 10 years.

So there you go. A little frustrating getting the information out of them but they say it's good for 10 years. That makes it a much better price point (especially on sale) than the Walmart Harmony LBB.
