I am due with my 6th in October and trying to figure out the car seat situation. We have two rows of bench seats in our suburban to fit 6 kids.

Middle row has lower anchors in the middle and drivers side seat (60/40seats the anchors are on the 40 seat and middle seat). This row has three separate tether anchors.

The last row has no lower anchors and one driver side/middle tether anchor.

the kids are:
-11 no booster
-10 no booster
-6 currently in 5pt diono radian but fits a high back booster fine
-4 forward facing in extend2fit
-2 rear facing in graco convertible seat
-newborn will be in some sort of car seat

I am open to getting different car seats and also any and all advice for fitting kids in the vehicle and making in and outs as easy as possible!

I would put the RF 2 yr old in 2C, newborn in 2D (or flip flop these two) and then the 4 year old forward facing in the Diono in 3C (if I recall, that one tether anchor can be used for center or drivers side). Get a narrow highback booster (or backless if you are comfortable…Bubblebum or RightGuide if over 60lbs) and see if you can fit that in 3D or 3P. Then your 10 and 11 yr olds go in 2P and 3P which keeps them in seats with head restraints. It’s going to be really tight in the third row so im not totally sure that will work. Let me keep thinking. (I have a Yukon XL with 2nd row bench so I am familiar with the vehicle…mine is a model newer but I know that one well too).
