3 Across in a 2010 Outback

#3 is on the way so time to sort this out! :p Currently my almost 5 year old FF behind the driver in a Radian and my 2.5 year old is RF behind the passenger in a Marathon (older model). I was thinking 3 Radians might be my best bet? I would like to keep my 2.5 year old RF still if possible and would be happy with a rear facing convertible for newbie (we don't really use a bucket anyway). I've heard the center install in the Outback can be tricky  Wisdom for me??

Yeah, probably 3 radians. Which outback? The older wee tiny one, or the newer roomy one? I just installed graco My size 70 in the middle of a new big one, and that hump was a real pain, I had to use a pool noodle which very nearly overreclined the seat RF, but without the noodle it was tippy and hard to get buckled. Might try your current seats there first, and post again if you run into any difficulties that we can hopefully walk you through!

You shouldn't have any issues in a 2010, it's extremely roomy.

Not quite what you're looking for but here's a rear facing complete air, a rear facing coccoro and a rear facing radian in a 2010 outback. The radian does look like it's in recline mode but it was broken and only used for the photo, diono promptly replaced.

Hope that helps. I might have a few other combinations, I'll have to look.

ETA: a keyfit 30 also fit where both the complete air and radian are.

It's the newer roomier one but, yes, with the hump in the middle. A bit worried about that as I've not done a center install in it ever. Guess will give it a whirl and see. If anyone else has experience dealing with the hump and what seat works well, that will help.

My thought right now is that I will put my oldest (who will be 5) FF in the center with the two younger RF on either side.

Ideally it's best to have the FF in the center, but I can tell you that the Cocorro works really well RF on the hump in the center of the Outback. I have a 2005 Outback right now, but we tested all of our seats when were considering buying a 2010 right before I found out I was pregnant with #3.

I can't remember the buckle situation in the center of the 2010, but in my 2005 there is a very narrow space between the 2 sections of the seatbelt. That and the hump and both difficult with boosters.
