I've been searching and reading and searching and reading for the last few days about how we could get 3 across the back seat of our 2002 passat. We have a Honda Odyssey for our primary vehicle, but for when we need to be in several places at once, we want to have seats in the passat as well. I know the Radians are a popular choice, but I'd rather not have to spend that much if I can avoid it.
Here are the stats:
DS1- 2.5 yrs, 35", 30lbs-ff
DD1- 1 yr, 25", 21lbs-rf
DS2- due in August
Currently have- Nautilus, TrueFit and Snugride 22
Anyone have suggestions on arrangements that might work for the passat but would be less than using Radians and Coccoros?
I was looking at the onside airs, but not sure what for DS1. Thought maybe and infant seat for DS2 with a base in each car might work too. Also thought if I go with the onside air for DD1 and maybe DS2, would I just end up having to get another combination seat that would bring me up to where I would have been price-wise for a radian?
My head is spinning and I can't seem to find any of the models in stores nearby to try, so I thought I would ask. Does anyone have any good, lower cost alternatives for me? Am I better off just sucking it up and going with the Radians since I'll end up paying the same in the long run anyways?
Thanks!
