Is the Diono Radian r120 a good fit for a 2012 Ford Focus? I'm 5'6" and my husband is 6', so we would need the legroom to drive. Our son is 22lb aND almost 30". We want him rf for as long as possible.

DH drives a 2012 Ford Focus and our son rides in a Radian. It fit well with the angle adjuster rear facing when I installed it behind the passenger. I would put it behind whatever seat you sit in more often so that your DH has a bit more room to put his seat back. I am 5'6 and DH is 5'7 and we had no issues sitting in the front with the Radian in the back. DS has now outgrown it rfing so we have it forward facing and it wasn't difficult to get a tight install rfing or ffing.

Can this seat not be installed in the middle of the backseat?

I honestly never tried to put it in the middle of our focus. I don't see why it would be an issue but hopefully someone can chime in that has tried it.
