2009 VW Jetta Wagon

DIL is thinking of buying one. She will need space in the back for an F85, one still in a backless booster, and one that passes the 5-step.

Her biggest concern is leg space for the kids as they grow. They currently have a Saturn Astra and the kids are really crammed for space.

Will it fit three across comfortably?

thanks!

It depends on how she & her dh sit in the front seat. IF they have the seats all the way back, it would be tight, especially for the middle spot. The 85 might overlap with the center spot 5 pointer.

I know Jettas have become larger, but I don't know how much so for the rear passenger leg space. I have a 2003 Passat wagon and if dh leans back the front driver's space to handle his 6'4 torso, it almost sits on dd's legs. She's 9 and in a Monterey. But the same spot at the front passenger seat provides an inch extra. The center spot on this larger car is an odd seat. It needs someone long waisted and short legged.

You're going to have to test it out IRL to be sure. I would say it was doable if you had 2 rear passengers, but I doubt it with an 85 & a nbb PLUS a kid big enough to 5 step. :scratcheshead: I could be very wrong though. :shrug-shoulders:
