Question 2009 odyssey captains seat

Hi, we have a 2009 odyssey EX-L and 4 in car seats,including infant twins. Our 4 and 2 year olds are in the 3rd row outside seats,and we wanted to put our twins in the 2nd row-one using the captains chair and one using the center seat so that we could remove the other outside seat to be able to easily access the 3rd row. We initially tried installing the base on the jump seat (no latch,only seat belt),but weren't happy with the movement of the base. Does anyone know if it's possible to move the others captains chair into that middle position and just remove the jump seat altogether? Or I've also wondered if a newer model jump seat could replace ours since they added latch to it in the newer models? Thanks in advance.

Hi! You can't replace the jump seat with a different one, they different sizes. What car seat do you have? Some are compatible there but some are not.

You can remove the jump seat and move the passenger side captain's seat center. You will need to install with LATCH to do so, which is fine for now, but will become an issue at some point with a convertible.
