I think the Nautilus puts DS's feet to sleep

The last two time we've taken a road trip in the Nauti, after a while DS complains about his foot/feet being "cold" and he needs to warm them up. :scratcheshead: I think he means they're asleep. He's not staying perfectly still or anything, and he often will put his feet up on the seat in front of him, so in my mind, he should be moving enough to keep the blood flowing. :shrug-shoulders: He's never said the same thing in the Radian.

Any thoughts on this?

Well, I had thought this but we rarely went on any long trips while I had the GN so I only noticed it a couple of times and since the child was non-verbal I had to interept the behavior. After a while on a trip in the GN, he would cry, shake his leg(s), pull his feet/foot up, insist on having his shoe off, hold his foot or feet and then push them at me (standard behaviour for an "owie"). So I figured his legs/feet were going to sleep.

My own theory was that it was because GN front (where the knees go) is higher than the back at a pretty sharply inclined slope when it was installed in my van.

Just my IMHO for what its worth. ;)

This is what I was thinking too. We don't use the recline feature on the seat, but I think that would only make it worse if we did.

yep, the nauti is pretty heavily "bucketed", like an inclined bucket seat. While it's great to prevent submarining and hip excursion, I think it can lead to a lot of pressure on the backs of the legs. We put a light little step stool in our car for dd to put her legs on for a while..now she mostly sits cross legged on long trips. I've heard of putting a rolled up sleeping bag or otehr soft thing there too, if oyu think a step stool is too hard.
