Eddie Bauer infant seat recall?

I was talking to my friend and she said there was a recall on the Eddie bauer infant seats. Didn't get the details. Now, what I would do is totally replace the seat. I would go and buy a new one. I am anal that way. But my question is that if they get the replacement parts necessary is the seat just as good? IMO it wouldn't be and I wouldn't trust it. What do you think?

Yes, if there's a recall contact Eddie Bauer (or if the seat is registered they'll contact her) and they'll send fixes. Sometimes it's just that the labels are misspelled, that's recall worthy. Sometimes it's that one screw out of 12 pops out of an infant seat's handle. So they replace the handle. Or the screw. Most of them are not big deals. For ones where the seat is absolutely deadly I don't know what they'd do. I don't hear of too many of those now. I think they either give a credit or replace the seat.

She said it had something to do with the part that attaches to the base??? Not just the stickers or anything and she said she is registered but has not been contacted

Recalls are usually relative to a specific time period and not necessarily would the Canadian models be affected in the same way as the US models. We have different perfomance standards for child restraints.
