Baby seats for 1995 Porsche 911 993?

Hi there

I'm due to have our first child in a couple of months, and my husband is keen that we still use his Porsche 911 993 for our weekend travels. Anyone know of a car seat suitable for a newborn that fits?

We had a 2000 911 (I couldn't tell you what other numbers, perhaps a 996?) and there was NO WAY you could fit a newborn in there unless you had a Porsche newborn seat that deactivated the front airbag, and then stuck an adult in the backseat. Piper rode back there, very upright, rear facing, and I ate the dash (which is ok, I'm 5'1"). For a newborn requiring a newborn angle you're simply not going to get something other than using the front seat, in which case you'll have nowhere to put your legs in the back.

If it's not your primary car I'd just wait until your baby can sit more upright in the back and then you can just use your normal seat back there.
