My Como Pics

So I just got my Como this morning. I am not sure if I'll be keeping it or selling it, most likely selling it... I think. It is pretty high. I have to be careful putting DFS2 in it. I haven't tried it FF yet, maybe later. The angle was pretty upright the first time I did it, so I put a pool noodle under it. Does the angle look okay? The harness covers are soooo huge! How is that safe?

He's 18 months, 30.5 inches, and 23 lbs. He has a 12 inch torso. And he's RIGHT above the 2nd slot.

Yeah, the covers are REALLY huge. I don't know that I'd use them at all on a kiddo until they were 2 or 3 years old, even my really tall, really long-torsoed 11 month old (wears size 2T) would not fit right with them on.

Your boys are so cute!

I put one of these into my sister in law's car today for her 4 month old (15 pounds). Those strap covers are absolutely huge! We took them off as they really swallowed him up. She can put them on much much later. I'd leave them off for your little guy too.

I loved how our little guy fit otherwise and not 2 minutes after we buckled him in, he fell asleep while we sat in the back and chatted. He was super comfortable! All in all I loved the seat but I don't see how any 70 pound kid will ever fit in that!?

Yeah, that would be a very strangely shaped 70 lb. kid. Maybe one with tumerous legs? My almost-five-year-old is JUST below the second to top slots and fits great, but a broader kid would not fit at all-- she is about 35 lbs. and is seriously built like a model, very thin bones but loooong arms and legs.

The harness covers bother the heck out of me. I'm just so used to 'nothing between your child and the harness.' I know they've been test with the seat, but still...

It is a smidge easier to get them in/out FF. I tried a FF install just for kicks this afternoon and Charlie could sort of scootch his bum out of the seat himself. Right now, RF, he just removes his arms from the straps and then leans toward me to 'help.' LOL

if they interfere with the chest clip, I don't think they are safe... but in general, they are safe as they passed testing and don't pose a risk in terms of compression.

I think the angle looks great... your DSF2 looks super comfy.
