Hi,
Still pondering the eternal question, Nautilus or Frontier? I had DS sit in the Nautilus today at Walmart, but somebody had totally messed with the straps- they weren't even attached at the top, so I couldn't buckle him in. He just turned two and we're not looking to buy a seat right now- we're expecting a baby in the beg. of June and plan on getting one of these seats for him when the baby outgrows the Safeseat 1 and DS passes down his Marathon.
So, my question is, the Nautilus seems a bit narrow. I had him sit in it not even strapped and the first thing he said was "Too tight!". He's 90th percentile for his height, 75th for weight and is pretty broad. Is the Frontier a better option based on his stats so far? Maybe he's just used to his roomy Marathon. I am also concerned about the crotch strap. He'd definitely need the next position out, as the other one was already way under him, but the next would out probably would have been as well. I tried to switch it but couldn't get the thing out for the life of me. I did this without the infant insert as well.
Just when I was all set on spending less money on the "easier to install" GN, I'm thinking DS might need the Frontier. Any thoughts or experience?
Another random question- is the GN the only cheaper alternative to the frontier that harnesses after 65 lbs and doesn't need headrests? We'll probably need a seat for Grandma's car because the baby will get the Scenera.
Thanks!
