It's comforting to hear that it's not just my kids that do stuff like that. I even have teeth marks on a pair of my flip flops. What makes them think this is a good idea? :shrug-shoulders:
I don't currently have any car seat fighters, but I have in the past. It's like they go from mild mannered children to screaming possessed little monsters the minute their butt touches the seat. I am so glad we're over that phase and I pray my youngest never hits it.
Maybe I should give the True Fit another look. I looked at it a bit at Target yesterday and I didn't care for the open slots on the cover nor the crack where the removable top part meets the bottom shell. Something like that would bug me if it didn't hit just right. I was impressed by how soft and squishy it was. I did have a cranky baby that wouldn't sit in the dang cart with me so I couldn't really play with it like I wanted too. Also it seemed that the footprint of the seat was bigger since it's not on a base. I think it would give less room than the Marathon for actual seating space next to it.
I don't think I could puzzle Truefits as well as I could a Frontier and a Marathon though and I think that's what I'm going to wind up having to do. I installed the Marathon I have rear facing behind the driver last night in hopes that I can show dh that DD really doesn't mind it. Besides being a pita to get in, there is no room in the center for DS's convertible. He's still in his KF so it works for now. I have puzzled 2 marathons in those positions with one ff and one rf. I would be nice to have lower profile seats since my truck sits up so high.
I'm still torn on the MA vs BV. I know I love my MAs and am scared to part from that. I had a DC that I hated when DD2 was a baby and that was the last time I strayed from my MAs, but then the BV has the same shell and same wonderful metal bars that I love for latch. Should I worry about the older kid sitting next to it hitting his head on the knob adjuster?
I also think if I go with the BV, I'd just have to get Abigail's Frontier now. She has a bit of room in the MA, but not much. That would thrill dh. 3 new $300 seats.
