In a previous post, several people mentioned liking this store. The catalog liquid. is 75% off and code L02119 gives another 50% off and free shipping. I didn't check the site, but hope it helps someone.

I'm confused. I shop at Lane Bryant and love their clothes. They're so cute and trendy despite being big girl sizes. Bootcut embellished jeans, cute flattering tops, etc. These clothes don't really look like that at all. The tees look terrible on the skinny models, what are they going to look like on me? Is this the same Lane Bryant as I have in the mall? :scratcheshead:

NO! it's not.

I asked the same question a few years ago. Lane Bryant catalog & Lane Bryant stores are two different companies with nothing to do with one another right from the start of their operations.

Very confusing, but true. :shrug-shoulders:

Yeah, the stuff is different from the catalog and the store, but I like both of them. I bought some of the tshirts 2 years ago, and I liked them, they were cheap, easy to wear around the house type t shirts. I'm going to get some more after I have the baby.
The jeans are definetly not the same, but I got a comfy pair from the catalog before. I'm also going to get a denim skirt from the catalog after the baby is born, and I noticed it's the venezia brand that the store in the mall has, so I think maybe the catalog gets some things from the store, but a lot of it is different.

that's weird...i'm surprised they have such similar names, considering trademarked brands usually go to great lengths to prevent consumer confusion - i don't know which one was around first but if the big lane bryant owned by the limited wanted to, they could make the catalog/online-only shop change it's name, i think, on the grounds that it's too similar and sells the same type of products (women's apparel). if it were called lane bryant catalog and sold books, then it wouldn't be an issue.

they are both owned and run by the same company, but they serve a very different type of client... the type who may way so much they can't go shopping, the catalog shopper in general (think of clothes in other catalogs for plus size and on HSN

I've found great items in the catalog, though I find more in the store.
