I need help... new seats, please

I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old, both RF. i am getting them new seats for no reason other then I want to. I also want them to be the same seat. I have an EFTA and I just sold my last Radian 80, so little one is in a touriva:thumbsdown: and it DIGS in to her neck, poor thing.

I have a 2001 Focus sedan.

The Recaro's fit but there is no much room to get them in and out...

I didn't like my Radian because of the RF foot, is the XT any better?

I like the True Fit but I heard they are re-doing it?

I would also like something with headwings..

I would just wait until the 3 year old hits 35 lbs and get him a FF only seat but I REALLY want them in the same seat.

Any suggestions? This is killing me.

The foot on the XT was redesigned and it's easier to install more upright and now fits between the lower anchors.

I would wait. Then get the 3 yr old a Nautilus or Frontier. The 1 yr old, the new true fit with ARB (when it comes out), or the Radian XT. The foot is different, better.

The XT, 80, and 65 ALL now have the same redesigned RF foot.

The TF is coming out with new patterns and features in 3 different trim/feature levels. The Primiere will have an anti-rebound bar.

Headwings and want the same seat... That kind of limits things. That would be the Boulevard, the Signo, the XT... Am I missing any convertibles with headwings? Can't think of any more.

thanks guys.... does any one HAVE an XT? I couldn't LATCH my Radian because it had to wrap around in front of the recline foot, kwim? Is the new foot adjustable at all? i guess I would need to play with it.
I like the sound of an anti-rebound bar though!

Oh and the BLVD cs, other then the loud click it says it "lets you know" when the harness is adjusted correctly? What exactly does that mean?

Yeah, I've not heard of that feature working right for ANYONE. Either it clicks too soon, or doesn't click even when the straps are digging into the kid.

wow, it is really stupid that the head wings don't go lower on the xt! I hate that..oh well it seems it is the same seat over all and I CANNOT get an even close to acceptable install FF in my car...:(

so would it be bad to spend the extra money on the CS just for the Lauren Pattern? lol I mean, I know when a harness is tight enough:rolleyes:

If I loved a cover, that is the only reason I'd buy the CS. And I'd still buy it on sale. Or consider buying the cover as a spare from Britax if I could get a great deal on the regular one...

The CS isn't *that" much more than a regular BV, but you're more likely to find a good deal on a regular one. But if the cover is calling you, go for it.

The TF are great if you can reach the harness lever. I LOVED them and regretfully returned them (even after getting a fabu deal) because I knew I could not handle 2-3 years with that harness lever buried like that.

Really, though, I'd get another EFTA if you want them to match. They're great, and you'd only have to buy one!

I'm gonna have to say truefit... the taller top slots mean they will fulfill your wish of having the kids in the same seat for as long as possible.

I would hold off (since you do have seats that fit.... cut some baby socks to make safe harness pads for your baby... just cut the toes off and slip them on the straps) for the ARB one if you can, at least for your younger one, though.

I test drove a Focus and I don't recall issues installing FFing with the seatbelt. Hmmm. Have you tried all the tricks for installing with the seatbelt? The radian is my favorite seat for RFing older children.

I tried everything. I don't have it anymore but i tried everything.. i would kneel in the seat and pull as tight as possible, thinking it was good i would get out and tug on the seat and it would litterally move like a foot! it was bad... i couldn't latch it either because the alligator clips were too long and would go in to the belt path... and the recline foot was IN the seat bight like all the way down hitting the meatal under the seats...
