We are 6 weeks pregnant with our 4th child. We have a 5 month old, 4.5 year old and 5.5 year old. So, we will have 2 rearfacers at the same time again. We rearfaceuntil at least 1.5 years if not longer with the older ones and will do the same this time. DH is 6'2" and no rearfacer can be behind the driver, because the seat has to me back all the way.

Any suggestions on vehicles? We have been talking minivan, quad seats and double sliding doors. I would put both one rearfacer in each row on the passenger side. We do travel a lot. All family is 2+ hours away from us. Any suggestions or tell me what you have and why you like it?

Thanks.

If you get a minivan I am pretty sure in most of them you could have a rear facing carseat behind the driver. They are pretty roomy. I have a 05 Toyota Sienna and can move my seat as far back as it goes with my son's rear facing Britax Decathlon behind my seat. HTH!

I have on 06 Caravan and Evan is rfing right now behind the driver in a Marathon. If you have 2 kids rfing, you want the bench seat in the middle though, not the captain's chairs or it's hard to get to the back. We'll have 2 rfing come Nov. The infant seat will be in the middle (it's a 2 seater bench that sits closest to the driver's side) and then Evan will stay where he's at. AJ will then move to the back middle since that's where the tether is. It would be hard to have a rfing seat in the back unless you loaded from the trunk area.

minivan

Our old minivan had the two benches. I don't know if it was just our van or what. But the older ones would end up loosening the infant base when it was on the passenger side middle row. They stepped on the belt all the time.

We have friends that have the quad seats and the oldest one just go in from the front. Our two always buckle themselves and I only look at them anymore. They do it right everytime, but I still check.

I want double doors, so we can easily put the little ones into their seats.
