Feedback links

I know we are supposed to delete our threads when our stuff in swap is sold, but how do we leave feedback without a link for the thread?? It says the link is required.

Is there a trick I don't know about?

I thought when the feedback system went into effect the rules changed? I think now you're supposed to leave the thread but change the "prefix" to "sold".

Ah my mistake, I forgot about iTrader. The SOLD prefix is the way to go. I should update the posts that say otherwise.

Deleting a post or thread doesn't delete it completely, it just becomes invisible. Might be worth testing if iTrader can recognize a member-deleted thread, too. Thanks!

How do you change the prefix?? I've tried, but never found a place where it gives you that option - even in the "advanced" part. Just been too lazy to ask about it!

It's hard for me to tell, because I see all the admin options. The one thing I know I've done wrong before, though, is clicking on a post within the thread, rather than the original post.

If you can't get it to work, you can use the "report" feature and ask a moderator to change the prefix. I remember that someone else had this problem when Darren first added the "SOLD" prefix, but I don't remember what the solution was.

Thanks, maybe I'll report it then. I'm definitely clicking edit on the original thread each time. And then "go advanced" and it never shows me a drop down to change the prefix. I wish it did because sometimes I forget to add the "for sale" one at the start.

Best I can tell, adding a prefix to an existing post requires the ability to edit the thread, which is a function only available to moderators or admins. At least for now, you would have to report the post or send a PM to one of the Swap moderators and ask them to flag it.

That was me that had problems initially. I still am unable to change any prefixes. It was never resolved.

The next version of the forum software apparently has expanded prefix permissions. I'm not sure if that will address this issue, but it might. Hopefully it will be stable enough for me to update when they release the next iteration, probably later this month or early February.
