Very well done. That is exactly what we like to teach parents. The closer the harness is to the body the better :)

That is how I do it with my own kiddos

Wonder if it's someone here?

I thought that it was better not to have anything behind the child and between the child and seat....isn't putting the coat on backwards the best way? Coats with hood would make the way on the video a lot more difficult (and hoods are great once they're outside!)

I wish they had been able to do it with the little cutie not crying, you'll get a lot of naysayers blaming the extra steps on why she was crying.

That's what I do with my DD, and my charges. Except we don't zip the coat after she's in. IMO, that's 1 more thing preventing me from getting her out quickly if needed.

I do like that Mom said at the begining she'd scream cuz she hates the carseat.

I've never thought/heard of doing it this way, I'll try it. I've heard they can only have a thin fleece but even with just that it makes my kids straps too tight.

We don't zip, either. I just pull the coat flaps close together, and each child gets one of those $4 fleece blankets from Target. They've never once been cold, and even throw the blankets off from time to time.
