We respect that the community at Car-Seat.Org is very frustrated with Target.Com (and their Amazon.Com store) and their unwillingness to fulfill the bulk of orders placed for Britax Marathons at unusually low prices.
It is certainly understandable that many of you are quite upset at how Target has handled this situation. In addition, conflicting stories of how Target customer service agents have responded to complaints has made the situation worse, especially considering some accounts that a few orders may have been fulfilled or that some customers may have received other forms of compensation for their time and trouble.
It is acceptable to discuss this issue and your experience. A number of very active threads already exist on the topic and members are encouraged to add to them, rather than start new ones. What is not acceptable is to take out your frustrations on other members of Car-Seat.Org. Because of the increasingly angry tone on many of these discussions, posts will be removed without notice. In addition, new threads may be merged, removed, locked and/or moved to a private forum. For now, we hope to keep at least a few of the threads open for discussion, as long as it remains peaceful.
Most of what can be said about this situation has already been said at this point. For best effect, additional comments should be addressed directly to Target and Amazon.Com. I have already sent them my comments and suggestions.
Finally, I note that our websites have Amazon.Com affiliate stores that feature Target products. In addition, Target.Com is a frequent advertiser through the Google advertising placements here. If you do contact them, please feel free to mention Car-Seat.Org and Carseatblog.com. Even if they don't honor these orders, you might suggest they consider some promotional discounts or giveaways for our members as a good will gesture for our community. After all, we certainly send a lot of traffic their way!
