Istall help needed for Odyssey

I just picked up a rental Honda Odyssey this morning. It doesn't have an owner's manual with it and I need to install all of my car seats. I know it has top tethers in the rear but no latch. My issues it that the rear outboard seat belts don't have locking plates on them. Do I have to install the H latch things that come with car seats or is there another install method? I'll be installing Radians.

What year is the van? Since it's a rental, I assume that it is relatively new (newer than 2002 anyway). It should have Latch in at least two seating positions. But you can install with seatbelts. Here is what you should do: put the carseat in, pull the lap portion of the belt tight. Slowly pull the shoulder part allllll the way out of the retractor, and then let it go back in while holding the lap portion tight. You will probably hear clicking while it is going back in. If you gently try to pull the shoulder portion again, it shouldn't come out. If it does, try it again. The seatbelt will be locked and then you do not need to use the locking clip that came with the carseat.

I don't know the year but yes, it's fairly new. I'd say 2007 or 2008 since it has about 35,000 kms on it.

I didn't try pulling the seat belt all the way out so I'll go give that a try. Thanks for the quick response.

It's an 8 seater and I'm using all six rear seating positions. I have the 4 Radians outboard an the 2 Parkways in the middle positions. I must say it fits really nicely and the parkways are fairly easy to buckle because of the narrowness of the Radian bases.

It should have switchable retractors for all 8 seatbelts. Just pull them all the way out and they should lock!
