Got it, love it, question about it

So, I got my Hannah marathon cover. It is even more beautiful in real life than any pics and it coordinates well with my Brooke cover. But it seems a lot bigger than my other covers. It isn't nearly as snug around the bottom corners (back by the bum and around the shell edges). You can't tell in the pic, I don't think, but I figured I'd post one anyway. And I noticed baby is now even with the second set of slots:( She is getting too big.

Are the newer marathons different? Do they have deeper sides or something?

I do realize her straps aren't tight enough. We got home from the store with the package and I switched covers before we even went in the house! LOL

I think maybe there is something different about the new and old covers/ MAs. I have a brand new MA (allie cover), and I traded for a Ashley Floral cover. WHen I put it on, it looked like the AF was missing a lowest slot that my seat shell had. THen I realized, it was just sitting higher up. After using it for awhile, it's worked itself out and everything seems to line up fine.

it's fairly common among Britax seats for the cover to not line up exactly. I've actually routed the harness into the wrong slots when going by the cover. Also, you want to make sure you're judgeing by the slots in the actual shell when determining harness placement or whether the seat is outgrown. The cover is an inaccurate gauge.

Thanks everyone!

You can kind of tell by looking at the pic that the cover is bunchier around the edges than the Brooke in the background. Is that normal?? I've never had a cover that wasn't fairly snug:confused:

hehe - the priority box that it came in is still in the pic. I didn't even bring the package in before opening it lol

I installed a new Allie MA outboard, rfing, next to an older All-Star Blue MA (I think it was a 2005?), also rfing, and noticed the Allie was deeper in the sides (but slightly, less than an inch of difference), and taller at the top middle, again slightly.

That is how my newer AF cover looks as well.

Too funny about the box! What does it matter where the box is as long as you get the cover on the seat!

I keep coming back to see the picture. I love it. I like it more on a IRL pic then just a stock photo. Is your picture fairly acurate to IRL?

She looks so happy with her new cover!

The cover does look so much better in person than in the stock pics. Your picture captures the true colors in that cover.

The only difference I noticed between my 2 new MAs versus my older MAs was that the shell was more of a tan color. The older ones (DOM 04/2007) were more grayish.
The insurance adjuster already picked up the old seats so I can't compare anything else on them.

what color straps did they have? There are two MA shell colors- taupe and gray. The difference is subtle and I believe they correspond with the harnesses. There's should be a sticker on the inside of the shell by the LATCH storage cubbies that says which you have.

just some more random useless trivia...

I think it is very much true to color. The flowers aren't as red as they look at target.com. I  it!!

We do love it! Good thing dd1 hasn't complained about wanting one:rolleyes: And yes, the ma's that come with gray straps have a gray shell and tan straps come with tan shell. I noticed that when I got dd2's ma. It actually said taupe on it and dd1's said gray - don't remember where though.
