Question No Anchors in Taxi

What do you do when you have to use a carseat FF in a taxi, but there are no anchors for the tether? Just wondering? We still have DD RF and don't use taxis often, but we on holidays and had to use a taxi once and the thought came to me.

Most taxis have top tether anchors. I think it was 1999 that vehicles sold in Canada had to come top tether equipped? As of Sept 30, 2002 all vehicles manufactured had to have LATCH, so there's even a good chance that a taxi will have LATCH since it's almost 6yrs already since that standard took effect.

In the event that it doesn't have a top tether though, you'd just have to install the seat without tethering it.

If you're calling for a cab, you can always call ahead and book one, asking that you get a cab vehicle that is 2002 model year or newer. That's what I did when I had to take my ds to the dentist and had 2 radians I was worried about installing into a strange vehicle in a rush. :thumbsup:
