would you trust these

Graco is sometimes an exception to the standard "no aftermarket products" rule, IF their aftermarket products are used on the seat they're designed for and tested on. Graco apparently tests all of their aftermarket products for their seats. That's why, if you look carefully, it says "Not designed or tested to be used with SafeSeat™ car seats.".. This would suggest that these products were tested with the SnugRide, and not the SafeSeat.

I will still tell parents NO aftermarket products, but again...this is the only exception I would make. In addition, I would still recommend not using the head pillow since receiving blankets do a much better job and are added after the child is secured, therefore not interfering with the fit of the seat. I can't see much wrong with the manufacturer-approved harness covers, so long as they don't interfere with getting the chest clip at the appropriate level. With really small infants, it's still possible that the harness pads are too long and force the chestclip down too low. Something to be aware of.

I would use the easier and cheaper idea of cutting off the cuffs of baby socks and threading them through the harness straps. Think of all the cute colors and designs available in baby socks!

I would. Some versions of the SnugRide come with shoulder pads. these are probably just a generic looking set to buy separately for the lower priced trims.

Like QuassEE said, the aftermarket warnings generally include an exception for products made by the same manufacturer.
