Hello. I am in the market for a new SUV. I need one that will accomodate 3 car seats in the back seat. I currently drive a 2005 Pathfinder....too small. From what I understand its not recommended or safe to put a car seat in the third row. A mini-van is not an option. Any suggestion?

Well, how old are your kids, how much do they weigh, what seats do you have, and what is your budget for new seats?

I have a 2001 Xterra and I've gotten three across many times.

Why couldn't you put seats in the third row? The third row is tested and approved with the car, it has seatbelts. It may be a bit of a pain to get to, but in through the trunk is always an option.
