BOB Revolution ? or another jogging stroller

What is the cheapest you guys have seen the Bob Revolution?

I was also wondering if there is another stroller that I should consider. I have the Bumbleride Rocket which I LOVE and don't want to get rid of but Ryan is outgrowing it (he is so tall). I really need to keep it around $300 cause I figure I can get around $150 for my Rocket (it's like brand new) and then only spend $150.

I mostly walk but hopefully I will eventually be jogging. Also I live where there are a lot of hills (big ones too), so it needs to be able to be easily pushed and not be some huge, super heavy thing.

Ryan's stats are:
age - 28 months
weight - 33 ish pounds
height - 36 inches

I want this to last til at least 5 years of age (or basically Kindergarten).

Oh and I'm a bit of a stroller snob in such that I want it to be cute (or rather just not plain) - I love the chocolate brown/blue color the Bob comes in.

TIA

If he's tall don't go for the MBUS... My younger son is the same height as yours and the canopy sucks for him! Hits him in the head..

We have the BOB and love it.. My long torso'd 4 year old fits well under the canopy when he catches a ride.

I got my Bob Revolution for $280 at REI during their big sale. It is my third Bob and they are just the best. I love my Revolution sooo much.

Thanks - I think I'll get the BOB - I want a non-fixed front wheel so I think it's my best bet.

ETA: do I get the bigger or smaller wheels?

If you are truely jogging then the larger the wheel the better. If they aren't at least 18" wheels then I wouldn't consider them great for jogging.

If you are going on hills then you MOST definitely want one with a hand brake. To my knowledge the revolution does not have one. Most all of the 'true' joggers (with the larger wheels, and/or fixed front wheel) will have a handbrake. At the very least they will all come with a 'leash'. I recommend using the leash at all times even if the terrain you are on is flat.

If the terrain is bumpy the larger the wheel the better. The true joggers also have incredible suspensions on them. This is great for off road, and for absorbing the pouncing so it's not passed off to your precious cargo.

If you are staying on smooth pavement then the Baby Jogger joggers with road tires and lack of sophisticated suspension may be good. This will also lessen the weight of the stroller and keep the friction off. Great for jogging, making it smooth and airy feeling.

I have a 21 month old toddler, and I still love my BOB Revolution. She has a ton of growing room. It pushes and steers like a dream. Mine is boring navy, but I've seen the blue/chocolate and it is so cute!

Maybe you have an older version MBUS? The newer one has a pretty tall canopy - taller than the BOB. The MBUS is 24" and the Bob is only 21". My 3.5yr old still has a ton of room in the MBUS, but was pretty cramped in the BOB that we tried.
