I am having a really hard time choosing which carseats to buy for my 2 kids! Right now the youngest is in a safeseat and my 5 year old is still riding in his alpha omega which I wanted to replace along time ago.
dd is 22 pounds 29 inches and 20 months old
ds is 41 pounds and is 5 years old (I cant remember how many inches right now! but he is small for his age)
We have 2 vehicles, one is a 1998 toyota 4 runner and the other a 1984 volvo station wagon.
I have been considering the sunshine kids radiant and the britax marathon, but now I see that there is another new seat here that looks good as well! Thanks in advance for the help!!

First, is your 5 year old using the Alpha Omega in booster mode? If not, you need to take the harness out before he rides in it again.

For your DD, a convertible (RF and FF) seat with built-in lockoffs would be ideal for the Volvo, which probably won't have locking seatbelts. The Britax Marathon or Boulevard, Recaro Como or Signo, and Compass True Fit all have built in lockoffs and will last a good long time both RF and FF. Other seats that don't have built in lockoffs but are great seats nonetheless are the Evenflo Triumph Advance and Sunshine Kids Radian (this has some install issues in some cars).

For your son, seats with 5-pt harnesses for bigger kids include the Graco Nautilus, Britax Regent, and Britax Frontier :)

ETA: Oops, sorry, didn't see this was on the Canadian board. The Regent is not available in Canada, and the Nautilus and Boulevard are coming this summer :)

OP is in BC.

An Aurora's list is great, but exclude Recaro seats and the Britax Regent--American only. Note that the Graco Nautilus has a Canadian ETA of this Fall, and the Frontier a Canadian ETA of next month--but may be sold out everywhere in Vancouver on pre-sales.
