Question Versatile Stroller?

Stroller suggestions please...here is what I'm looking for:

Not too heavy
Suitable for light jogging/power-walking
Ability to fit into compact car trunk
All terrain
Reasonably priced

If you recommend something and know of a great on-line place to buy, or a used one out there, let me know.

Thanks!

Red Castle Whizz, if you can find one. It meets all those criteria, and is super comfy for your babe as well. We love, love, love ours, to the point that I have gotten rid of our other strollers (a Peg Pliko, Chicco 2002, Maclaren Vogue, and a Bumbleride Flyer) because this one does everything.

The Whizz is totally cute, but I wouldn't recommend it for jogging, the wheels are just WAY too small for that. You need something with larger wheels if you're going to be doing any jogging at all.

I'd suggest something like the Bob Revolution http://www.bobgear.com/strollers/stroller.php?product_id=4 It's got 16" rear tires which are decent for light jogging/power walking. Baby will have a much better ride which is VERY important, you don't want baby shaking around in the stroller. It's also got a 12" swivel front wheel (lockable as well) which makes it nice for going around town and general use.

The Baby Jogger ATS would also do what you need http://babyjogger.com/ats.htm

I am not sure what your definition of reasonably priced is, so I don't know if the Revolution/ATS fits in. You likely can find used Bob's/BJ's out there though. They are very high quality so it wouldn't worry me to pick up a used Bob/BJ.

I guess I'm just a super slow jogger/fast walker. I have had no problem with using the Whizz for that purpose. I don't even fix the front wheel--just go.

I guess the problem isn't for the adult using it, but rather for the baby getting shaken up inside. The larger the wheel, the better it handles bumps, curbs and rougher terrain and provides a smoother ride for baby. There's been some discussion that baby's brains do get shaken around in jogging strollers and bike trailers due to their large head size and weak neck muscles (which is why it's common now to see the recommendation for baby to be at least a year before jogging or in a bike trailer).

I don't know at what specific jogging speed this becomes a potential issue though (so am NOT saying that YOUR baby is getting shaken. Just putting the info out there!).

Lately I have been using my Bob Revolution for everyday use and it has been nice. It is surprisingly light and works well in malls and shops. Plus you can use it for jogging and it folds up small enough to fit in the trunk.
