What convertible fits best in a 2000 Jetta?

My cousin's 6-month old is 16lbs and they are starting to shop for a RF convertible seat. They have a 2000 Jetta and both my cousin and her husband are quite tall (so the front seats need leg room). How do the Marathon and/or Radian fit in the Jetta and in what seating position? Any other carseat recommendations for the Jetta?
TIA!

At six months old the baby can be pretty upright, so the Marathon should fit pretty well. The Radian I'd be very wary of. *IF* it fit between the two front seats it might work, but if the mom and dad are tall then they would be far enough back, and baby far enough forward, that they could look at one another. The Radian is very big front to back and is at a forced 45 degree angle because of the rear facing foot. So I'd stay away from that for small cars and tall parents.

The Marathon should work quite well, though.

I would also recommend the True Fit by Compass. Its a fairly new seat and if the baby is under 22lbs. you can remove the headrest to make it fit easier rear facing. The Evenflow Triumph Advanced is another option.
But the marathon is most definitly an excellent choice too! :)
