Why should I NOT buy on eBay?

You can buy things on eBay, however with Britax, in particular, unless they are an authorized dealer, it may void the warranty. Also, you want to be wary of open boxes or used seats. You can't tell by looking (necessarily) if a seat has been in a collision.:twocents:

this is true. when i bought my recaro YS on ebay, the seller said is was being drop-shipped directly from recaro in michigan to my home. it was more direct than shipping from a third party! strangely, the invoice was on recaro's own letterhead.

If you are buying brand new items on ebay, there is always a concern that you may not get a warranty because the item is third-party or gray market. Make sure to ask specifically about the warranty issues if the seller isn't clear.

If you are buying used items, ebay is probably a better place than average because there is some degree of buyer protection, especially if you also use paypal or a credit card.
