Did you pay for your CPST class?

But it's probably about what it *should* cost . (Materials, facilities, instructor costs, food....)
I've "met" (online & in person) people who paid about $650 -- this was innitially the reason behind my instructors not wanting me to seek a paid position (it could bump up our costs: not very likely, though)

I start my class tomorrow and paid the $60 Safe Kids fee. There is no local charge. Luckily I have my mom watching my kids so I won't have any childcare expenses.

Mine was a $60 SK fee and a $90 "local fee". Thankfully, the coordinater waived the local fee for me since I am "unemployeed" and 2 close by SK chapters covered my SK fee.

I paid the $60 Safe Kids fee, and there was no local fee. DH used paid vacation time from work to stay home with our kids so I could take the course. Edited to add: Like several other posters, my class was well-fed, too. Breakfast, lunch, and plenty of snacks were provided, and I felt quite pampered.

I paid $60 plus a $15 local fee to cover printing costs ect.

The $950 class is in CA. I can't remember who teaches it, but you can get a$400 scholarship if you qualify. Not that $450 is not outrageous either.

I paid $60 for my class. We had catered lunches everyday as well as a nice breakfast spread. I was shocked they provided all that for only costing $60 per person.

I paid $60 to SK Nationwide and $60 to my local agency

Do you mean Safe Kids Worldwide:)?

My work paid for mine. However, I am a Safe Kids Coordinator. We would love to pay for people to take the class, but we can't get anyone to. Anyone in SE Kansas want to take the class and help me out at checks??? Ok, I'm almost positive no one from this board is from my area, but a girl can dream right?

I paid a $60 fee to SK and that was it. There was a grant and we even had lunch and snacks available to us.

Susan

Do you live in the county where you took the class? We had to pay $60 to SK and I believe $80 or $100 to the Montgomery County something or other. And, we had to pay for our own lunch.

Ours was $60 a piece (DH & I went together). Breakfast & lunch was provided each day by a different agency (a police department one day, a fire department the next, etc.) & by Baby Depot the day of our event.
