Need backup seat rec's

Stats in the siggy... these are for the Honda Prelude...

It's going to be a tight squeeze no matter what we choose, but DH needs a bit more leg room. It would be helpful if the seat on the driver's side sat a "tad" lower. They boys are only in these seats like once a week if that, so I'm trying to keep the cost down.

If it were me, I would probably choose the Graco Nautilus (~$150) for CJ and a rearfacing Scenera (~$40) for Billy. CJ is getting close to 40lbs, so recommending a 40lb harness seat might not be a good idea. The cosco apex is also nice, but the nautilus is probably a better choice since it will last longer harnessed (it has a taller harness height) and turn into a good highback and lowback booster when the time is right.

I agree, a Nautilus and a Scenera would probably be good. The Nautilus doesn't sit up on a base, and your FFing son can go behind the driver, so your husband can put his seat back. That'd bring you up to $195 for the two seats.

You could also get an Evenflo Triumph Advance for CJ and a Scenera for Billy, $175 total.

The cheapest would be the Apex 65 and the Scenera, which would be $155 total.

I think for cost effectiveness, though, the Nautilus and Scenera are your way to go.
