Allright, where's the list of carseat specs?

I know that it's somewhere in this site...or others...but I can't find it!

I need to pick up an inexpensive booster/5pt for random/rare use. Looking for highest top slots, doesn't have to function well as a booster :) (It won't be used as one most likely)

"Sounds like you're after an Apex, provided the vehicle that it's going in has headrests."

Just want to jump on this thread b/c I'm considering the Apex for my 3 yr old (32#'s 39 inches). I drive a 2001 Ford Taurus wagon. Would an Apex 65 work? The backseat does not have head rests.

No it would not. The Apex requires head support behind it... since your vehicle does not have headrests, this would not be a good option for you. Sorry.

Actually I already own an Apex 65...and I love it. It however, will not work in a taurus without headrests...the apex must have a headrest behind where the childs head would be in the seat. I am not after an Apex...I actually was thinking a chase or a cargo...just something inexpensive that can float between cars and isn't 4 feet wide!!!!

I haven't been around for a while...I'm thinking for a Taurus without headrests your best bet would probably be the Radian ... if your budget can't go that high, then maybe a Graco CarGo might be a decent choice!

Thanks for the input. I actually have another thread going getting suggestions for my daughter. I was hoping to narrow my options down but they are getting broader instead. Here's the list so far: Regents, Boulevard, Radian65, Recaro Como, and Evenflo Triumph Advance. I'm trying to shoot for longevity w/o breaking the bank. My son is 7 months and will eventually go into her new seats and her into an even larger seat. Maybe by then, another year or so, there will be less expensive options for those who want to keep their kids in a 5 point harness until 6 or 7 yo. My thinking right now is to just go with the Triumph for her now which he'll go into later and then her into a Regents or compatible.
