Hello, I am wondering if the Graco Nautilus would be a good investment at this point with my very tall 3 year old that is turning 4 soon.
He has outgrown his marathon 65 forward-facing, using the highest harness slot of 17.5" (it is right at his shoulders currently). He is about 43" and 40lb. I have been thinking about getting the Frontier from Britax to keep him harnessed in. But I've been reading some reviews that said when the Frontier is used in seatbelt mode, it sometimes has too much slack. That is a little concerning to me, so I've been looking at other options.
The Nautilus looks good but I'm worried that with the max harness height at 18.25", it will only last another year as a harnessed booster and I'd have to use it as a belt-positioning booster when he is about 5 years. I'm not sure that he would sit properly at age 5, so is wondering if I should even consider the Nautilus at this point?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
