Question 86y in 2005 chevy pick up truck front seat?

our truck has an awkward middle seat with only lap belt
From what I read it sounds like the only option for utilizing this seat is the 86y harness. This is for kids ages 10 -13 who grew out of a booster
The seat does have top tether, and the manual does not mention anything about weight limit

If the 86y works, it would be used very occasionally for short distances in town
Could this work ? and is there a place to order the harness online?

You need a headrest and something to hold the upper body.

I think the 86-Y can be used with a booster (someone correct me or confirm, please!) You would need one tall enough for your kids. How tall are they?

Yes, you'd need a high back to use it there.

Yes. Unless your manual says otherwise, it's 65 pounds. Assuming at least one of your kids is over that limit, you'll need to have the 86-Y tether kit installed.
